Eleven CFISD water polo teams advance to area round
The Cypress Woods High School girls’ water polo team defeated Houston Milby in the Class 6A bi-district playoffs. The Wildcats are among 11 CFISD teams to advance to the area round.
Oct. 10, 2024—Eleven CFISD water polo teams advanced past the bi-district round of the Class 6A playoffs and move on to the area round, while the girls’ teams from Langham Creek and Cypress Lakes high schools and the boys’ teams from Bridgeland, Cypress Springs and Cypress Lakes high schools concluded their seasons and finished as bi-district finalists.
On the girls’ side, Cypress Creek High School defeated Houston Northside, 14-0. The Cougars advance to face Alvin Shadow Creek on Oct. 11 at 4:30 p.m. at the CFISD Natatorium (12550 Windfern Road).
The Jersey Village High School boys’ water polo team defeated Houston Chavez in the Class 6A bi-district playoffs. The Falcons advance to the area-round playoffs to face Alvin High School on Oct. 10 at 5:30 p.m at the Lamar High School Natatorium.
Cypress Falls High School defeated Houston Waltrip, 25-0. The Golden Eagles advance to face Houston Lamar on Oct. 10 at 6:45 p.m. at the Lamar High School Natatorium (3325 Westheimer Rd).
Cy-Fair High School defeated Houston Chavez, 29-0. The Bobcats advance to face Pearland Dawson on Oct. 11 at 4:30 p.m. at the CFISD Natatorium.
Cypress Woods High School defeated Houston Milby, 18-0. The Wildcats will face Houston Westside on Oct. 11 at 5:45 p.m. at the CFISD Natatorium.
Cypress Ranch High School defeated Lamar Consolidated George Ranch, 14-2. The Mustangs will face Fort Bend Clements on Oct. 10 at 5:45 p.m. at the CFISD Natatorium.
Bridgeland High School defeated Spring Branch Memorial 13-7. The Bears will face Fort Bend Ridge Point on Oct. 10 at 4:30 p.m. at the CFISD Natatorium.

On the boys’ side, Cypress Woods defeated Houston Milby, 18-2. The Wildcats will face Strake Jesuit on Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at the CFISD Natatorium.
Cypress Creek defeated Houston Northside, 12-0. The Cougars will face Houston Lamar on Oct. 11 at 5:45 p.m. at the CFISD Natatorium.
