Cypress Creek High School girls’ water polo team defeated Houston Lamar, 19-5 at the Region II-6A regional quarterfinals round of playoffs. The Cougars advance to the Region II-6A Tournament on Oct. 18.
Oct. 18, 2024—Two CFISD water polo teams advanced past the regional quarterfinal round of the Class 6A playoffs and move on to their respective regional tournaments, while the Cypress Ranch High School girls’ team and the boys’ teams from Cypress Creek and Cypress Ranch high schools concluded their seasons and finished as regional quarterfinalists.
Bridgeland High School girls defeated Spring Branch ISD’s Stratford, 12-2. Cypress Creek High School girls defeated Houston Lamar, 19-5.
Bridgeland advanced to the Region III-6A Tournament, held Friday, Oct. 18 at the CFISD Natatorium (12550 Windfern Rd). The Bears defeated Round Rock Westwood, 11-7.
Cypress Creek advanced to the Region II-6A Tournament, to be held Friday, Oct. 18 at the Lamar High School Natatorium (3325 Westheimer Rd). The Cougars will face Brazoswood at 5 p.m.

Winning teams will play on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Region Finals.
